Shramdaan

Love the Horseshoe? Love the buckeyes playing there? You can be a part of the great tradition too!

Since 2002, AID-Columbus has been managing a food-stall within the Buckeye Stadium. This activity is termed Shramdaan (translates to “Donation of labor” in Hindi), and requires about 20 volunteers every game. It involves about eight hours of physical activity within the food stall and involves three main activities - preparing, stocking and selling food to the spectators. A group leader, who also acts as the interface between volunteers and Stadium officials, oversees all these activities. It is a great experience in teamwork, and a wonderful means to contribute to make a difference. We would be glad to have you as a part of our team!

So join hands with us today to work for a brighter tomorrow for India. We meet at 7:00 pm every Friday at Mendenhall Laboratory, 125 S Oval Mall (The Ohio State University), Columbus OH 43210. (Google the location)

You have to be over 15 and need some form of identification (school ID is fine) to enter the stadium, and you are covered by our insurance. You will be adequately oriented before the game.
